The Anglican church
http://www.stjohnshighton.org.au/Courses_and_Resources.asp?_=Alpha where I attend services has an Alpha course available and I haven't really looked into it as yet. The little I have read on the subject I somewhat have reservations as there seems to be some dangers associated with it.

The Alpha Course is a course that has been used by many as a way to attempt to introduce the false doctrines and practices of the Third Wave into mainstream denominations. http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/alpha.html

If you are the scholarly type and interested in doing a distance course and in such a position, I would first suggest 'Tyndale College'
http://www.tyndalecollege.org.au/

Otherwise, I personally have been finding 'biblicaltraining' very rewarding.

I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. C.S.Lewis.
