I'm thinking if Jesus was black we would know about it. Or brown we would know about it. As we aallllll know he was white!! Right? There are not a lot of drawing showing him being black or even brown.  And if he was Jewish over two thousand years things have changed a bit. And was Jesus a Christian as in a modern day type of Christian? Or was he just a self hating jew? It's hard to find the truth as one group of people here say one thing and another group say another and the visible evidence shows something else.I don't believe in a god so I can't believe that he had a son so I have no players in this game. Except that those like me were and in some places most likely killed for our beliefs or lack there of.The reason that I am asking is the You Tube below. And does this mean that god is white or black as we alllllll know Mary was white! Right? ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrOMDZt2xeo

I think he would have looked like the modern day Samaritans up at Mt. Gerizim in Israel today where animal sacrifices such as the slaughter of of unblemished lambs are still carried out for pascha .. Olive complexion with Brown eyes typical of the Mediterranean Ethnic regions...

And why do many that we never heard of and still the world is not going to hell in a hand basket.

Just like Jesus Khufu was placed in a rocky place and later ended up in heaven. We know this had to have happened because they did not find his body (Just like Jesus) in the tomb. Sure Khufu's rocky place was a little bigger than the one Jesus was in but it still worked to send him to the same place.
I guess now they are playing card or monopoly. Sipping tea and eating bikkies.

So we have a guy in a tomb disappearing Two Thousand Years Before Jesus!

Who would have thought that this would happened more than once. Or twice or in fact it's happened several times in the history books. But we know the bibles is not a history book.

I heard a joke the other day: We know that Jewish slaves were not the ones forced to build the great
pyramid for they would still be building it. Oh! Oh! it's hot and I broke a nail and the food is always cold and tastes bad and there's never enough.

Paranormal things seem to happen all the time all over the world through out history. How great that some people believe that their is the only true ones to have ever happened.

Ian please Ian back up your argument and not let the simple people have to do it for themselves.

I made it simple: dead people placed into a rocky place disappear and go to heaven.

Here is a video that proves my point.

Considering the effect the story of Khufu has had on the world in four thousand years to what Jesus has achieved in two thousand years, I’ll stick with Jesus thanks it’s more believable.

Good morning, 'Simple Person'.

I made it simple: dead people placed into a rocky place disappear and go to heaven. 'Yes', yours was clearly 'cutting edge' logic and argumentation, eh? But you failed to consider some fairly simple points: (1) who is it that maintains Khufu was placed in the pyramid's burial chamber to begin with? You? (2) There is no sarcophagus. (3) There are no funerary materials. (4) There are no votive offerings. And, (5) There is no evidence that an entombment ever took place there. Furthermore, (6) there are no records contemporary to Khufu's demise that indicates that the pyramid was even intended to house his corpse. In other words, there are no similarities to Jesus' circumstances as we find recorded in Scripture, at all.

With respect to your vaunted 'conspiracy theory' website and video; it certainly proves something, but I'd suggest not what you think (e.g. your capacity for critical discernment).

In closing I suggested to you earlier that it was, 'time for you to study your Egyptian and Ancient Near estern history a little better'. Take up the advice. Please.

And the bible stories are the pinnacle of history. Most of the stories in the bible might be fact but not to the tellers of the stories.  And it's always good to like to make you group sound righteous or stronger or more evil if you need to scare the neighbors. My grandfather always told me to "think about what the group of people are thinking and doing and why they are thinking it and doing it and you will most likely find the best thing to think and do is just the opposite."   This is why the bible call you lot sheep. baaaaaaaa.

We all know there was no body found in the pyramid as no body was placed in the tomb that jesus left for heaven from.  But the story sound the same as Khufu and so do many other stories in the bible. Not to mention the conflicts in the bible between writers. And the story of the exodus  didn't happen to the people YOU read about.

But it's also funny how when people leave the grc that they don't often or most likely don't turn into Hindus or Sikhs or morons or even Catholics. But they stay with what they learned. There must be something that noel is doing right along with all that wrong.

But ian as you think you know everything and your followers will believe what even you trype you could start you own cult.  Good luck

Technically, and with respect to notions of 'race', the term 'white' refers to caucasoids. Your 'olive' Jews are also 'racially' caucasoid, as are Arabs by the way, hence Jesus was 'white' (but clearly not Anglo-Saxon or Celtic).

Good afternoon, Guest.

For what it's worth, I don't believe our 'Free-Thinking' friend worries too much about such things as factuality, credibility or similar in his sources. So long as the 'reference' he uses supports what he wishes for us to believe, then they're good enough!

Blessings,

I noticed on the previously mentioned website that one of the Christian apologetic authors invited to respond to Evil-Bible was the infamous Christian blogger, Rhology, whom I've engaged with a few times in the past. If there's anyone who thinks Ian is pompous and arrogant they're not doing so with the perspective of reading some of Rholo's work. I think he uses even bigger words than our Didaktikon uses, and is thorougly awful, imo.

Here is his answer to the allegation that God is a murderer. I'm not sure what I think of his explanation. I don't believe babies are given automatic death sentences until they're old enough to repent from the sin of being born, which seems to be the case here.

http://rhoblogy.blogspot.com/2009/04/evilbiblecom-project-part-1-murder-in.html

"How about the definition of "murder"? That would seem to be a good place to start. Yet no attempt is made to define even that. This is pretty shoddy, pretty clumsy. I suppose one is free to make up one's own definition. Fortunately, I've got one - Murder is the unjustified taking of human life. As every man, woman, and child is sinful and bears the guilt of the sin of Adam, all are subject to the death penalty. This includes the various peoples of Canaan, whom God commanded the OT Hebrews to put to death after hundreds of years of giving them time to repent of their perversions. This includes the millions of babies that die every year in the womb (re: Sam Harris' correct and yet wrongheaded and amazingly morally blind assertion that God is the greatest living abortionist). God is fully justified in putting anyone to death at any time thru any manner or agency He chooses"

G'day, Pete.

'Yes', I think he's something of an acquired taste myself; a Christian 'Dawkins', if you will! However, any atheist who wishes to cross swords with him had better have more than simply a passing acquaintance with all of the pertinent philosophical material (I can only imagine that you were 'shredded' in your engagements with him? )

Here is his answer to the allegation that God is a murderer. I'm not sure what I think of his explanation. I don't believe babies are given automatic death sentences until they're old enough to repent from the sin of being born, which seems to be the case here. Well, whether you choose to believe it or not, 'Rhoblogy's' reasoning is not only theologically sound, it's also logically consistent (which is hardly surprising given that he's a Christian philosopher). Finally, the 'sin' isn't in being born (but I reckon you already knew that).

Blessings, dude.
