RCI (Bellarine). Young, wheel chair-bound girl gets raped, falls pregnant, is booted out forever and the only friends who gave her any support, were told not to have anything to do with her anymore. Physical and spiritual abuse at it's highest level.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE????

i am so sick of people acting like victoms have done something wrong- this poor girl has already got so much to deal with, she should have been able to turn to her church for love help and support

instead during what is arguably the worst point in her life she is kicked out and shund

and they still call themselves christians

everyone that goes to this church should be ashamed of themselves- and the oversight should be stood down (but we all know that will never happen)

they gave instructions, to the only people who stood by her, not to talk to her, that was it. These people have to be exposed for what they have become. This sort of thing gives the wrong meaning to our Lord's will. However, on a positive note, K' has now had a baby girl and both progressing. She was taken in last year by a community base church in her area and is getting unbelievable support, spiritually and physically. She is overwhelmed by the blessings and gives the Lord the glory. I see her as a living testimony of the Lord's strength operating in faith.

I am so saddened for what this poor girl has had to go through - I read this while at work and had to go to the loo to have a good cry - my heart is breaking as I read this post.  It is the sort of story that should be sent to one of the Current Affair shows to expose them for what they are!  SHAME on so-called Christians that shun a girl in this situation - what would Jesus have done to her? He would have helped her, prayed for her, loved her, guided her, wrapped His loving arms around her.

Thanks be to God for drawing her into a church that supports, cares for her and loves her and her little baby girl. I am so happy to hear that she is getting the blessings that she deserves now.

God bless this girl as she grows in the strength of the Lord

It may be of interest to readers that ex Revival members were the ones who were able to bring this girl and her baby to the community based church she is now a part of.

Well man what do I say??  I would firstly like to honor that young women for keeping her baby!! What faith, what courage...you will be so blessed for that.  Secondly I pray she find wholeness and healing and forgiveness too...hard I KNOW but it appears she has loving people around her which is so important for her now.  BE BLESSED and may that little baby girl be a true blessing and gift to her too.

hmm i know a lady in the RCI that had the same thing happen.... and she is still going. She also fell pregnant and kept the baby.  I know RCI have some wack ways but i find it hard to believe that they are that hart-less. I have family that fellowship there (in Bellarine RCI) and they have never told me of this happening.

Either way my hart goes out to that poor girl. I pray that her faith in god will remain. Nobody needs RCI but they do need good doctrine so i hope that she (and all of us) is getting from somewhere. We are giving the gift of faith, it's up to us to keep our lamps trimmed. Life can be hard for as all but what that young girl must have gone through is horrific. Nobody would expect her to keep the faith now but the bible teaches that god will not alow you to suffer more than you can handle (basically).  She must be one special girl...

A member of the Bellarine RCI just recently made comment that the “talks” were too restricted because the ‘unforgiveness’ doctrine puts too many limitations on what to talk about from the platform.

The Pastor has stood him down from fellowship for two months.

What a joke.smiley8

Hi, Ralph.

A member of the Bellarine RCI just recently made comment that the “talks” were too restricted because the ‘unforgiveness’ doctrine puts too many limitations on what to talk about from the platform. The Pastor has stood him down from fellowship for two months. Well, the proof of the pudding remains in the eating :P

Gd'y Ian,

Yes, and what's the bet this same person goes over to RF assembly here in Geelong. "It's quite on the cards"
He came from GRC originally.

Hopefully, after that he might consider a true Church.

Ralph.

Hiya, Ralph.

Yes, and what's the bet this same person goes over to RF assembly here in Geelong. "It's quite on the cards" . He came from GRC originally. *Gasp* ;) ... theatrical pause ... And just tonight I was having a conversation with a former GRC-er who was adamant that the GRC is completely different culturally to every other sect of Revivalism! Despite this 'fact', here we have a one who started in the GRC, seamlessly moved into the RCI culture, and now will potentially transition into the RF culture just as easily? Who would've thunk there'd be so much cultural 'commonality' as to facilitate fluid movement between the three principal sects, eh? :P

It might have something to do with the fact that Revivalism is the one 'book', with each sect being simply a different 'dust-jacket'.

Blessings, bro'.

Ian,

As one whom has had first hand experience (definitely not to my credit), I certainly confirm, except maybe for a little more leniency in certain social matters, the end result dictates
a ‘bipartisan commission’ with all the other groups.

Post which is the at start of this topic. (update)

To have you know, this person has had quite a struggle these past 9 years with bringing up a child on her own and dealing with a failed kidney transplant etc. Glad to say the DC Church has given much needed support.

Last three weeks.

She finally had her second kidney transplant, after years on dialysis. She is doing fine so far.

The day before her discharge from hospital, she received tragic news that her mum had passed away due to a massive brain haemorrhage.

The service was held at the Bellarine Revival Centre, which her mother still attended.

Needless to say, this girl was 'shunned' by all and it was said she wasn't welcome there. Even the pastor turned his back on her when she approached him.
