I was a member from the age of 11 until 15 on my own hey took me from my family and lead me to believe my family were evil up until i literally nearly hated them. I am now 23 and at the age of 17 developed psychotic problems from this church. I am so glad someone is speaking out! Celeste

On the one hand you want to support and encourage your friends/family to free themselves of that place and its doctrines, but on the other hand - if you've had any experience on the inside - you know how intensely the message of 'the world is out to destroy your soul' is preached. So all this outside attention is do doubt perceived as 'the world' trying to destroy them and stop them from going to heaven. If you look around, it's a pretty standard technique used by most cults and controlling organizations around the world (by which i mean planet earth, not this mythical 'world' that is supposedly waiting to feast on your soul) |
