What i wanna know is did JK raise his hands in worship? I have heard from old timers that they used to many many years ago but then stopped it. Anyone know anything about this? It seems the early revival meetings were on fire but the flames turned to little sparks then just smouldered.

Good on ya Steve for making a stand.

Ok I tried to ignore this post, but I had to come back to it. Steves can respond to this rubbish himself. I do have just one question.

Just when did PJK go to Moruya?

I suggest anyone with questions or doubts, to pick up the phone and give them a ring. These forums can be very good sources of info, but are entirely based on gossip and self opinion the majority of the time.

I have spoken to BOTH PJK and PSA and stories match up..

There are also some people that refuse to follow the RF or Steve and have decided to look elsewhere... who knows, maybe the RCI might pick up some of the carnage in Canberra.

Ok , did that, in fact I followed the process for the last 12 months. Of course those who don't agree with your opinion just gossip I guess.  Anyway Steve is a big boy he will speak for himself . I will say hower mr Tofu, I think you'd better call him again, he's looking forward to you next call. LOL

I have spoken to BOTH PJK and PSA and stories match up..

Give us a break, JK has not been to Moruya and if you spoke with him you will find he gave the job to BOB & Gary to carry out. He stayed out of it.

There are also some people that refuse to follow the RF or Steve and have decided to look elsewhere.

Your'e right there mate, the last thing Steve wanted was for people to follow him, he's wants them to follow Jesus. Have you seen the letter he gave to the fellowship. Get a copy.

who knows, maybe the RCI might pick up some of the carnage in Canberra.

Oh no I just couldn't resist this line, it's the one that got me to respond to you TOFU. Are you joking do you think those who leave are both blind and stupid. I'm sorry this one just cracks me up, it's not very christian of me I know but, but come on. You're just joking aren't you. Come on fess up you are , come on now..........

all a bit academic. Who has the exclusive rights to the best doctrine is all a bit of a yawn. The unsaved seem to have been left out in all the hoo ha over scripture... the broken and unloved masses were'nt so interested in doctrine at the time as they were in the loaves and fishes that the disciples handed out... My question is  more when was the last time anyone raised the dead?? have we been neglecting others salvation while we were obsessing about our own?

The facts:
He did go on a trip up the east coast recently - but he didn't go to maruya. The only place I can confirm that he went to is Port Macquarie and that's because I heard his voice in the background when I called one of my friends in the fellowship there, and my friend confirmed that John and Janet were there at her house. They also visited a number of other assemblies.

Steve was stood down by an email email from B.B. some of the people from Maruya will be still attending RF, but the majority wont. We need to keep the flock in our prayers.

Why are some people on here so hungry for information and details all the time. It seems to me like it's a game to some people.

Can everyone just get over it now?

Well for starters 'set free' you cant even spell Moruya. LOL!! (Obviously not a local, so really what you talk about you have only heard second hand)..

I hate the fact that so many people think they know 100% whats going on in the Eurobodalla assembly when you dont have any facts what-so-ever.. This makes me furious!

The assembly is split 50/50 - so no, the majority arent following one way or the other..

We dont need your gossip.  Eurobodalla needs your prayers, your support and your care.. (whatever path each individual takes).  This whole thing has ripped out the hearts of everyone involved, cant you see that??  Instead of sitting at your computers gossiping back and forth to each other - take 5 minutes and i plead to you -get down on your knees and uplift us in prayer..  Thats what we really need now..  All of us..

Well said Anonymous - Count me in!  I'm praying for ALL the saints that are hurting and need love and support.

I'm also praying for the RF oversight that they may have greater understanding and wisdom for the sake of those that they deal with.

Hi Anon, God bless you Brother/sister.

I really don't think set free is your enemy on this one. He/she understands thar we are all baptised by ONE SPIRIT into ONE BODY and whether rci, rf, hills, edge, ccc blah blah blah this promise remains the same. In saying that, I will pray for you and the fellowship(s) in moruya and the discord that has happenes . Splits ( I hate that term) are not fun and never easy but God will make it work for HIS purpose if we stay faithful to HIM! I encourage you to keep getting your srength from HIS WORD. His mercy is new every morning. I am not interested in getting details about Moruya, to be honest I have my own trials that I am going through which for me are way bigger than Moruya, same as for you Moruya is way bigger than me - I am saying that we need to get us right with God and we can't change others, free will thing!

Psalms are great and remind us that God is way bigger than moruya, and me, and church denomination - although there is only 1 church in reality - GODS CHURCH!!!!!!!

Isaiah 48 v 9-11, Isaiah 54 v 10 - covenant, check out the rainbow, Gods peace is promised. Psalm 1 - Psalm 150!

He will hold you up, He will defend you though trials come your way, He is perfecting you.  Ask God to change YOU! Psalm 139 v 23, 24

Psalm 91 Hide in God. Psalm 30 v 1 -12

God Bless

I have just listened to a message downloaded on the Canberra RF website which was at an Xmas camp in 2006. I recognised the name Steve Akin (couldnt remember where at the time) so I clicked on it to listen to. It was a great message! Hopefully he is still pastoring in the RF as he seems to really be switched on and 'real'. I wish I had this type of leadership when I was going to the RF. He mentioned things like a relationship with Jesus Christ, always speaking out of love - not fear, and other great themes throughout his message.

I really hope that it is only rumoured that he isnt there anymore and that instead, he is going strong and bringing his fellowship into an exciting and authentic place where the holy Spirit is m-o-v-i-n-g!!!

He mentioned things like a relationship with Jesus Christ, always speaking out of love - not fear, and other great themes throughout his message.I really hope that it is only rumoured that he isnt there anymore and that instead, he is going strong and bringing his fellowship into an exciting and authentic place where the holy Spirit is m-o-v-i-n-g!!!

Wrong!

He got the flick, too much too soon.  Yes I watched Gary Hall take him by the hand and thank him for that message saying "thanks Steve you were right on the mark with that talk".      Yes and within 2 weeks of that Christmas ministry both Gary and Bob (I suspect with a lot of outside influence) were like a couple of bull terriers going at his heals (and everything else).

it is the glory of God to conceal a matter but the honour of kings to search it out.

Wow - that id so sad!! My husband and I were listening to it thinking "Yes, preach it!!". Interestingly, he made a humerous comment about it maybe being his last talk. Maybe he just knew?

I remember very clearly one of Tom M last talks at the Adelaide RF titeld "I have a dream", a powerful message which proved to be his last there. Funny, sitting there in the congregation I NEVER for one moment saw it has anti-RF or going againtst the assemblies doctrine or 'stand'. I found it hard to understand why it wasnt received by the rest of the oversight with the same enthusiasm as myself and others. By the way, that was many years before my family finally decided to part ways with the RF (it wasnt like we were sitting on the edge of our seat waiting for a change or a chance to run - we were still happily singing I Can Run Through A Troop).

Welcome amazing journey,

I hope you're having a good one  (amazing journey that is!).  We are all on the same spiritual journey in our walks, but we are all at different places at any given time.  I believe that where we are has nothing to do with where we fellowship but where our heart is with God. I was woken up from a 23 year sleep (in RF/RC) only recently - same as you, I was not particularly looking to fellowship elsewhere but when I prayed to the Lord for a revelation, He made it clear that it was time for me to move on and leave the ' still sleeping' RF behind.

I am so grateful that He answered prayer and that my family all came with me to our new church where we constantly hear uplifting and relevant talks and are able to worship in Spirit and in Truth. I was fortunate to attend a meeting where Steve A gave a talk and it was absolutely awesome to hear a (then RF pastor) speaking so openly and frankly and with love and understanding of God's word. If this was his crime then where does that leave the other RF pastors??

When God calls us we have no choice but to go forward and follow Him - He knows better than us and we just need to trust in Him at all times.

You know What I find amazing??

People from the RF/RCI and other groups pray that the Lord reveals to them where they should be going. And what you get is some staying and others leaving.

How do we explain this. I speak to people that are certain that RF/RCI is right for them and others that say "I left there coz I was led to <insert church name here>  church"

It's like this micrOsoft, I did not pray to God to "find another church".  I found there to be many inconsistencies in the RF over time and these were becoming more apparent and more disturbing.  I stayed for several months after I first thought about leaving and during this time, I sought the Lord diligently as I did not want to rush into making the wrong decision. I know many people still attending RF - some still actually talk to me, but most do not! They all have different reasons for staying even though they are certainly not all happy there.

some stay purely because their families are all there,

some because they believe that even though they can see the problems, there may also be problems at other churches,

some stay because they are too afraid to leave - the oversight constantly 'bag' other churches and have said that  "if we leave they cannot guarantee our salvation"!! The reality is THEY never could guarantee it - only GOD knows that one.

some stay and pray that things will change - I didn't believe that they would change because to change, the oversight would need to admit that maybe they weren't right about everything - and we all know that they are RIGHT at all times!

So micrOsoft, to answer your question - I didn't pray to God to find me another church particularly, I had just had  ENOUGH - there comes a time when, if you don't make a stand, you are as guilty as them for going along with it all.

Thanks Chris7 - I reckon the whole key to our walks (and as stated in the scriptures) is to keep it simple -  so for us 'simple single cell sea urchins' - IT'S EASY!    I just LOVE the Lord SO MUCH!!

Hey Brolga - do you wanna know what I reckon as to where the kingdom of God is?  It's within us!  Those of us who LOVE God and want to do right in His sight.

I don't believe it's a question of WHERE we fellowship and what we believe (as long as it's in accordance with the scriptures) but what matters is our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I pray that you find it Brolga and wish you well!

So, you're saying that it really doesn't matter where we go at the end of the day...

I could agree with this. Coz there are many people from many churches who don't live by what they preach.. (even RF and RCI people!). So it's our personal relationship with God, doing as scriptures command and being as "Jesus" was...

If that's so, we may as can these forums and get on with our lives and stop bitching about things!!!

Hey micrOsOft,  it's only my opinion - doesn't mean I'm right, but it's what I believe. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my saviour means more to me than attending ANY church - that is why I left the RF in fact.  I will follow Jesus ONLY, not man!

As for ' canning' these forums - there is an obvious need for people to talk about their experiences. I will admit I find it sad just how many people have been hurt so much that they also turn right away from God. I believe that even though some turn away from Him, He will ALWAYS love them and care for them and I continue to uphold all of these people in prayer.  You're right of course - we do need to get on with our lives. I'm extremely grateful that I have been able to do just that but it seems a little more difficult for some.

The Frogs Desiring a King fficeffice" />

The Frogs were living as happy as could be in a marshy swamp that just suited them; they went splashing about caring for nobody and nobody troubling with them. But some of them thought that this was not right, that they should have a king and a proper constitution, so they determined to send up a petition to Jove to give them what they wanted. 'Mighty Jove,' they cried, 'send unto us a king that will rule over us and keep us in order.' Jove laughed at their croaking, and threw down into the swamp a huge Log, which came downrplashto the swamp. The Frogs were frightened out of their lives by the commotion made in their midst, and all rushed to the bank to look at the horrible monster; but after a time, seeing that it did not move, one or two of the boldest of them ventured out towards the Log, and even dared to touch it; still it did not move. Then the greatest hero of the Frogs jumped upon the Log and commenced dancing up and down upon it, thereupon all the Frogs came and did the same; and for some time the Frogs went about their business every day without taking the slightest notice of their new King Log lying in their midst. But this did not suit them, so they sent another petition to Jove, and said to him, 'We want a real king; one that will really rule over us.' Now this made Jove angry, so he sent among them a big Stork that soon set to work gobbling them all up. Then the Frogs repented when too late.

Better no rule than cruel rule.

Hi FG & Brolga,

I get what you're saying Brolga re the moral of the story but I was just thinking the same thing FG - why do threads start off about a particular subject and end up getting lost on the way.

I think that some posters deliberately (not you Brolga) like to distract others away from threads that they don't want people talking about maybe??

It's a funny old place this forum, but I kind of like catching up with people's stories and I even like hearing old MothnRust & others' views.

Let's try to keep the threads on track huh?
