Date Posted:25/04/2008 6:52 PMCopy HTML Hi all,
Chat box over the last day or so had become a fit frenetic. The common cause (righting the wrongs of Rev) had been forgotten in the heat of the forum family feud. I'm sure like most family feuds there will be no hard feelings with the fff. Many years ago my husband was a member of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International. This, of course was before our entry into RCI and our subsequent alienation from all members of FGBMFI, and those from our old church who were also involved. Anyway, at a dinner meeting of FGBMFI some magazines were available for anyone wishing to take one and on the back of the one I chose was the following verse, which I cut out and kept. Literature associated with our old life was later diligently thrown out as suggested by RCI. THE COLD WITHIN Six humans trapped by circumstance In bleak and bitter cold. Each one possessed a stick of wood Or so the story's told. Their dying fire in need of logs The first man held his back For of the faces round the fire He noticed one man black. The next man looking cross the way Saw one not of his church And couldn't bring himself to give The fire his stick of birch. The third one sat in tattered clothes. He gave his coat a hitch. Why should his log be put to use To warm the idle rich? The rich man just sat back and thought Of the wealth he had in store And how to keep what he had earned From the lazy shiftless poor. The black man's face bespoke revenge As the fire passed from his sight For all he saw in his stick of wood Was a chance to spite the white. The last man of this forlorn group Did nought except for gain Giving only to those who gave Was how he played the game. Their logs held tight in death's still hands Was proof of human sin. They didn't die from the cold without They died from the cold within. --Author Unknown The poem gives me a reminder to TRY to be more tolerant when I'm feeling a bit cantankerous. Epi |

Epi I read the chatbox and it looked like a storm in a teacup. Ian wasn't being any different to how he normally is and the worst thing he called someone was a twit. Big deal. Now he's gone? Great. There goes any chance of reading something that's challenging and helpfull |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:26/04/2008 2:36 AMCopy HTML Just some food for thought.
When one is called into battle and to be able to become a good soldier in order to survive that battle, he is trained to put off any emotion, compassion, preconcieved ideas, any thoughts of home, family and loved ones. He must maintain a constant elertness, the enemy can strike from any where at any time. To meet the objective, he virtually has to become a machine. Once the aggression has been stopped, the situation must be maintained and finally restored to a peacefull haven. Finally, when his job is done, the soldier can mingle back into society and with love and understanding become a "normal" person again. I see a similarity with spiritual aggression and such, good Christian soldiers need to be the same. Any time one let's down his guard, that is when the enemy will most likely strike. A person who is displaying any thoughts or actions that are contrary to the Word of God must have the truth pointed out, for the sake of others as well as their own, even it offends sometimes. What has happened in the past is that cults and the like had let the enemy gain a bit of a foothold and the battle continues. We are lucky to have good 'soldiers' that want to protect us spiritually. brolga |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:26/04/2008 4:23 AMCopy HTML Reply to Guest. Yes, Guest, I hope Ian won't be leaving us for too long. I certainly will miss the energy and expertise of his input on the forum and hope his exit will be short; hopefully he'll be back soon with renewed vitality. Epi |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:26/04/2008 4:52 AMCopy HTML Brolga, I like your "Just some food for thought" post. It's a good one. To digress from that a little; I was a bit annoyed yesterday as I had that day given the site address to two separate people who are being heavily pressured into returning to Revival. They were checking it out that night to get a different perspective than the Revival one, and there was a tiff happening. God Bless and I enjoy your posts. Epi |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:26/04/2008 6:41 AMCopy HTML Thanks Epi, Perhaps others may think it is in the correct thread .
Confidentiality limits me to more details and I may have said too much already, but it is Christ we look for in others, not fraility of the flesh. I speak generally. Satan won't sit idle and watch that someone might see the deception created by his seed, he will use any situation to keep people in the dark. That is why Christians must try to be on guard and bring forth good fruit continually. We may lose a battle now and then, but we know the victory is ours in Christ. (enough sermon for today!) brolga |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:04/05/2008 1:25 PMCopy HTML Hi Epi
Amen to that - where would we be without the grace of God? Where would we be without His love? Back in Revival? EEEEK! God bless you, Urch x x Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths.

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:05/05/2008 2:32 AMCopy HTML Thanks Epi, I think what concerned me most is your comment about how this happend on a day you pointed people to this site and all the carry on was happening. it was unfortunate and I am ashamed to have been one of the perpetuators.
God Bless e5 |

Re:Sort out squabbles and differences quickly. Date Posted:05/05/2008 4:40 AMCopy HTML Hi E 5, To put your mind at rest, have spoken to one of them and he was far more interested in the list of subjects relating to RF and archive section. Don't think he even caught on to anything else going on. Haven't seen the other one. I probably overreacted for which I apologise. Apologies all round; we should all be OK after this clean sweep. God Bless you Epi |
