John Kuhlmans talk today at Woodcroft covered such issues as;
we have boundaries to keep you safe,
don't talk to ex-members,
we are too busy to fellowship with other Pentecostal people and churches,
Pentecostal churches now have too much psychology in them,
don't read any christian pamphlets , books, or watch christian tv programs,
"some people say our worship time is boring."

Nicely done! When I first joined here I wasn't anon either, i just changed to anon because everyone kept telling me to?? Most people from Adelaide know who i am when they read some of my posts anyway. A lady from Edge came up to me on Sunday and said "you're set free aren't you?" I didn't even know she went on here! Isn't being honest the reason Chris K got mad at Celia anyway? Because when a new girl asked her where her family was she told her the truth, that her father had been put out? it's just crazy. I wish you could warn people that are new to RF what it is really like. Coz once you find out what it's like by that time you're already indoctrinated! Apart from the need some people (such as me) might feel to keep their privacy from prying RF/RCI/CAI/GRC eyes, the police tell us there's a very real threat from a range of criminally unpleasant people who hang around on the net. Threats include identity theft and mis-representing themselves to vulnerable children ("hey I knew your aunty/uncle/mother/father/grandma/grandpa years ago at ... "). The advice I hear from police is to absolutely avoid revealing personal details. I see this as akin to, but more important than, not writing my home address on the key ring with my house keys on it, and not keeping my PIN and debit/credit cards in the same place. (I might lose them, but I know people are trawling the internet.) I wouldn't be paranoid if people stopped attacking me. Moth ... as a teacher, have you been given similar advice by police for you kids? |
