Date Posted：25/02/2006 11:31 AMCopy HTML Hi, Just wanted to say that Jesus loves you so very much. I was involved in RCI (Revival Centres International) for 11 years. Most of those years God kept whispering to me to get out, but I was afraid, (and taught by them) that if I left I would lose my salvation, lose God and have no-one. I was eventually put out because I didn't conform to their control and their laws.
I felt lost for a while because I thought that God had deserted me and didn't love me any more. HOW WRONG I WAS!! So I just started talking to God on my own and reading the bible and just having a wonderful time with Him. I did my own research of what the Bible said to me and I just got more and more free and confident (and came out of the deception that I was held under through the RCI cult). That was some years ago now, and my love for the Lord has increased and increased, and am involved in a fellowship of believers who are happy in the Lord and growing and maturing and being released to minister to others.
Don't give up on God. Don't let the RCI present to you the image that they feel is God, (or their doctrine) but seek him for yourself. He is merciful, compassionate, loving and kind and he cares about the widow, the stranger, the sojourner and the fatherless. He cares when you hurt and are alone, and wants to heal you, make you strong and lift you out of the muck and mire of the teaching of RCI. My life virtually started when I was put out of there, because I came to know and love Jesus so dearly, that He is my best friend who sticks by me, and that He will lead me always, even to my eternal home in heaven.
I had to forgive them from my heart for all their deception and cruelty and control, and I had to forgive myself also for being involved with them.
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON GOD, WHO HAS A PLAN, A DESTINY AND A PURPOSE FOR YOU ALL!!

Nice post Grace, thanks for your story. I know what you mean when you say life started when leaving the Revs. There are many times in ya walk on earth when you feel like you've gone through multiple rebirths. Awakening to new concepts that turn the whole universe upside down once more and you get that born again and again feeling is good... hmm, no wonder we men spend so much time trying to get back into the womb. Be at peace with yourself and God, and allow him to break off the religious yoke that has been placed over your life. He will handle you with kidd gloves, for he is gentle and kind. He knows how to restore, to renew, to fill, to lead and guide you, for He is your loving Father. My prayer for you is that you will sit at His feet, rest beside those still waters. Let your favorite music minister to your spirit, for He comes on the wings of music. His grace and mercy will be your portion today, and forever, and this is my prayer for you. Be kind with yourself. Don't whip yourself for the great Shepherd never drives His sheep, but gently leads them and they follow Him because they love Him. Do not be afraid, for He is with you. He will never leave your nor forsake you, no matter what you have done, or where you have been, for He saves to the uttermose and His forgiveness and mercy and so utterly great and fathomless. [/Q] That is so true, I found whenever I wanted to share my beliefs or even just share my heart, I was slapped down, and shut off and treated like a leper because I did not conform to their way of thinking and doing. WHAT A GREAT DECEPTION THIS IS. It took me some time to get free from the religious yoke due to fear, anger, bitterness and hatred that I held in my heart toward them, and it was mainly that I was rejected by them and would not conform to their control. I had many issues in my life and I desperately wanted help, but their was none! No counselling, no women to comfort, no understanding and no compassion. JUST THE BRITISH ISRAEL MESSAGE EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT! The very sad thing is that they are so deceived and cannot see the glorious light of the gospel. Truth is mixed with error, and as I look back now and see what God has done in my heart and the security that He has given me, I find it hard to believe that I was ever there. My prayer for u is that God will reveal to u His great purpose, destiny and plan for your life. Please don't make RCI your mission in life, but make Jesus your passion and destiny. He is well able to set you free from all those things that would hold u and bind u. God bless! Grace |

No no... I am sorry. Please forgive my need to quip and reply sarcasticly. It's the devil in me that makes me wanna do it. It's great to see people full of passion and expressing it on here and you are more than welcome to share your thoughts and prayers. Everyone is in different places and exploring different things. We might not all be on the same page though, if you know what I mean. For decidely 'christian' discussions, we have a christian room where you can feel free to go for it (Avenger and I will promise to respect that room unless invited from here on in).
