Right click one of those pics and click 'properties' - copy the URL code (that's where the actual source picture is stored)

close that and find the options on the top right of the forum page and find 'profile'

You will see a big grey button called "Change my avatar" click that button.

you find a white entry box towards the top of the page - paste the URL code of the picture you copied before...

then click the big grey button at the bottom of the page underneath all the default avatars that says "change my avatar"

- voila-
