I was sent an email today about a supposed murder by an RF member or ex-RF member somewhere on the central NSW coast.

I don't have any details other than what the guy sent me.

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

Here's what I was sent:

======================
Not sure if you heard about this but a girl that 'fell away' from the church a few years ago schized out one night and killed her boyfriend.

Quite sad, they were going to get married a few weeks later.

Apparently she'd been back in touch with the church prior to the event and had been 'receiving counselling' from them – one could only imagine what was going through her poor head. It was basically, from what I know, a psychotic episode and self defence - yet I don't know that much.

The article's here :http://digitaledition.expressadvocate.com.au/default.aspx?iid=33889&startpage=page0000003

The bit about the woman murder trials.

Bloody sad eh!?

You can visit the link above to access the article, but I have cut and pasted the article below anyway.

Again, can anyone fill in the blanks?

OK, if a murder won't get people talking then I fear there's no hope for stimulating discussion on this forum these days!  ;P

I knew Carmen when she was in the RF in the late 90's. She was a lovely girl and from a quite wonderful family. It is very sad news indeed.

I think you are a nasty piece of work and should keep your nose out of someone elses business. This is obviously a very painful, tragic and hurtful event thats happened in this persons life and you have no right
to pry into it or try and seek and place blame on anyone. This is  God's domain.  "vengeance is mine saith the lord".    You really are treading on very dangerous Ground.

I really don't even know how to respond to that.

Dear Guest,

Do you live close by yourself, or do you know of someone who does and would be prepared to make contact with this young lady?  She is probably badly in need of friends at the moment.

I think Guest is scared that he will be brought to justice ....
finally!
it is clear who is to blame for the death of this guy...
not poor mantally ill woman but the pastor who said Carmen does not need to take medication.... all she needs is a prayer.
I hope Carmen has a good lawyer. The lawyer needs some explanation what a dangerous cult she was in!!!
That's why we need to find Carmen and help her!

 JUSTICE WILL COME!!!
and you will pay here and now
you evil people
in this life and on this Earth!!!
If you attribute all your problems in life to God, and everything what you achieve in life to prayers, then you deprive yourself of a merit and deny yourself a chance of finding true causes of your problems and improving your present life and lives of the people around you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discover true Bible http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/donald_morgan/inconsistencies.html

I've never been part of RF, but I hope and pray for this girl and the families involved. It is a very difficult road to walk.

I am a current member of RF. A not entirely happy member, but one thing which you have made an assumption about:
"not poor mantally ill woman but the pastor who said Carmen does not need to take medication.... all she needs is a prayer. "

I can tell you that the RF encourages members with mental illness to seed help, at least with meds. I have suffered mental illness and sought help and meds were acceptable and I also sought counselling. That wasn't met with quite as much acceptance. But is now more accepted.

So, you really shouldn't make presumtive statements like that or you lose your credibility.

I totaly agree, but a question I do have is who are you people and why are you saying horrible things about the revival fellowship, we are still new to the fellowship but I know the teach straight from the word of god, we come from another church who twisted scripture and let all sorts of nonsence go on in their churches.

The woman in the article is not the RF Carmen Chipreo, simple case of mistaken identity I would say.
