The Story

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'
The father who, despite having a heart condition said 'yes.' They went
on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying
'yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman
together.' To which, his father said 'yes' too.

For those who don't know, the Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The
race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometers)
ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometers) bike ride, and
ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometers) marathon along the coast of
the Big Island .

The father and son went on to complete the race together.

I bumped into an Revival ex-'pastor' recently and he asked me where all the 'heroes' were nowadays.

... my gosh, they're everywhere. Everywhere.

Thanks Moth! We saw this short clip in church a while back (the sermon was about 'Heroes') and even the'tough guys' were in tears.

Here's Nicole C Mullen singing 'My Redeemer Lives". I love her voice and her passion & have all of her music.

That's beautiful  Urchy !! liked her message too as it is certainly a sobering answer to the Kenyonism that is badly plaguing the church today

Yes Paul wrote those words from a Roman Jail. But being in a crippled body can be a terrible prison too. I know because I spent 3 months in a private Catholic hospital bed, some time ago when I was in my mid thirties, paralysed from the waist down and was told I would never walk again but I received an amazing healing after would you believe an elderly Roman Catholic Nun prayed for me. The nun said to me: "have you faith to be healed ?" and I said in my reply: " yes ". So the nun laid her hands on my body and prayed and the next morning when the nurses came for me, I found I could get up out of bed completely unaided with full control power returned to my legs .... and I was totally amazed..

How is that possible if she didn't pray in tongues?lol
I personally don't find it hard to beleive. There are plenty of practises in the RC that I am far from comfortable with, but to assume their are none in there that belong to Christ would be quite arrogant.
