That story has been going around, but is so untrue.. I know all the woodcroft "boys" and it has never happened. There is also another story about a pastor that was being held captive for preaching the gospel. He was apparently going to be hanged for his crimes.. This again, was so untrue.

Re:woodcroft boy who pulled his eyes out. Date Posted:14/02/2007 5:24 PMCopy HTML It definitely did happen, according to my sources - I didn't think it was disputed! Of course it wasn't officially talked about, but it was a very discussed story at the time. I went to Woodcroft on occasion (but based at the Vogue) and what happened to this fellow was quite well known. I've spoken to maybe 4 or 5 people who knew him. The explanation went around that he was suffering from 'mental problems' - and I think killed himself some weeks after pulling his eyes out. |

Re:woodcroft boy who pulled his eyes out. Date Posted:15/02/2007 6:46 AMCopy HTML I knew the family it happened to, and its a rather sad one. Yes it is true that a young man did pull his eyes out. He was suffering from schizophrenia. I am not sure if at that stage he was going to the RF. However, I met him some years after this had happened and he was fellowshipping at that stage. He did some years later kill himself. It was very distressing for all concerned, and even John Kulhmann was upset. I no longer go to the RF, but I feel that this subject should not be laughed at or mocked. Mental illness is a very serious problem. I hope this helps stop any unfounded rumors. |
