I was a "member" of Woodcroft a long time ago (6-7 years?) and it ... lets just say it didn't work out. I was kind of an atheist anyway at the time, and well, if I wasn't totally before, I am now (funny how a science degree will do that to you). Thats beside the point (although I did want to make the point that I didn't move to another church or anything). Bottom line is I'm wondering about a few people I used to know and whether or not they are still part of the cult, especially now that I've stumbled across this messageboard in boredom and am reading about all the crap that appears to be going on there. I'm actually part worried and part curious. I don't want to mention specific names over the forum (I don't think it's allowed anyway), but I'd be appreciative if someone could let me know if I could ask them about who might still be there. It's only a few names, I didn't get to know many people. Frustratingly I'm struggling with surnames, but I think I can remember a couple. I'm pretty sure I can mention pastor names though, is Pastor Nobel still there? Can't remember his first name, maybe it was Paul. Insane man from what I remember, big believer in bible numerics and other assorted garbage. Once told me, upon me questioning him about the possiblity of life on other planets, that maybe god placed all the stars in the sky as nothing more than a pretty mosaic for us to look at. I stood there slack jawed, and that was the beginning of the end. Okay so it was closer to the end of the end, but still ... Also has a (at the time) supremely arrogant, know-it-all daughter IIRC. Doubt she has changed. Seemed pretty much like a pastor in training. My email should be available thru my profile.
