Date Posted:21/08/2010 8:01 AMCopy HTML How to witness the Holy Spirit to worldly people.
This video series is intended to coach members in the Revival Centres International, or The Revival Fellowship, to expertly spread our gospel message and answer all those 'tricky' questions. The Revival 'family' of churches (family being an ironic word, as none of the church 'branches' actually speak or recognise each other) believe their doctrine to be superior to all and are encouraged to street witness and door knock their message. They include The Revival Fellowship, Revival Centres International, Geelong Revival Centre, Christian Assemblies International, and many offshoots. Their doctrines include 'speaking in tongues', 'British Israelism', Pyramidology and 'end time' prophesy, Bible Numerics, and a whole load of cult-like controlling rules. Re:Wally witnessing the 'whole' word to worldlies (animated) Date Posted:22/08/2010 9:58 AMCopy HTML Thanks Guest!
Yep, you'll be seeing more of Wally Witnesser in the future as he meets different people and talks more specifically about various issues. I think a British Israel convo will be next. :P That first one touched on every base and had me laughing at my own jokes all day. I'll trynot to dig at Christianity, but rather highlight Revivalism idiosyncrasies instead. Any suggestions or ideas for future webisodes ar welcome. Instagram and Twitter: @mothpete

Oh I agree whole heartily, but it doesn’t hurt to have a laugh sometimes. Costs nothing. What have “gays” got to do with it Ralph. |

Re:Wally witnessing the 'whole' word to worldlies (animated) Date Posted:23/08/2010 12:27 AMCopy HTML I thought Wally Witnesser was funny !!!
I thought the movie 'Saved' was funny too. I look forward to more adventures of Wally. Having a light hearted jibe at Revival may have more of an effect on people than trying to 'brow beat' some plain common-sense into them. Life is too short to have had your 'funny bone' removed. Lighten up, have a laugh, if not a laugh then a small twitching at the sides of the mouth will do. Laughter lightens the load of a heavy heart. IMO Glad "Faith is not about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out."

Oh I agree whole heartily, but it doesn’t hurt to have a laugh sometimes. Costs nothing. What have “gays” got to do with it Ralph. Ralph, Right at the end there, the rev guy says "we hate gays too" And on any other occasion I may have found it more amusing, but I just spent two days in Sydney watching my beautiful stepmother die. On the upside though, I became a grandmother yesterday also. A weekend chock full of living. And don't worry I'm sure I won't be here long, you know what we do with dissenters - burn em, bash em bury em, as long as we keep them quiet :) My daughter married a muslim earlier in the year and I have been having a good look at both religions. Christianity is probably the better of the two but really I cannot see a lot of difference as regards the treatment of those who disagree. They beat the infidel, on this forum they are psychologically abused. It seems to me Ralph that the spirit of christ and the reason he came has been lost in "who is right". From the beginning of my time on this forum I cannot see one ounce of differnce between the way revival behaved with regard to the "the truth", and the way those on this forum who believe they have the real "truth" behave. God is love, not being right, not understanding greek words down to the last phoneme, not sneering and deriding everyone who doesn't see things the way you do. You should listen to this guy dog, he has still retained the capacity to reach the depths of his own heart, and not lose it in his reason and his ego. I choose to work out my own salvation in fear and trembling and if, in the final alaysis I am wrong then I will be wrong, but I would not have let anyone else lead me down the wrong path. One was more than enough, and I don't understand why it isn't enough for all revival survivors. Hope all is well with you and yours :) |

Re:Wally witnessing the 'whole' word to worldlies (animated) Date Posted:23/08/2010 7:00 AMCopy HTML Well said Ralph. I would go a bit further, Tracey's statements are wrong and offensive. I dont know where she has been and what she has seen or percieved but its miles from what I have experienced in Christian Churches.

Re:Wally witnessing the 'whole' word to worldlies (animated) Date Posted:25/08/2010 12:20 PMCopy HTML Thanks Moleman
Revivalism is ripe for the lampooning, I reckon. Even though I've played up on it a bit, you can't do and say all the 'mental' stuff they have done over the years and not expect to be laughed at. I mean, god, we really believed we did have the secrets of the pyramid sorted out. And the very idea that we had King david's lineage tracked to Prince Charles. pmsl... Meta: To Epios.. I showed Wally Witnesser to a Rev devotee via facebook. The person was most upset and said ", I feel a bit hurt over the thing you posted on FB this morning. It is a bit unfair and not entirely true..." I suppose there may be a softening at the smaller fellowships because I was told that shunning is no longer practiced. Perhaps Ian has a better understanding of the dwindling numbers of people actually attending from Bureau Stats records but I wonder if the Rev Fellowship are in self preservation of some sort and I am curious of how the revs are currently coping. According to what I am told is that people are "dropping off like flies"... blessings 25 Aug 10, 17:29 Moth:
The cartoon is an exaggeration of course, and encompasses Revivalism
and all its glorious history. The past is still present even though some
of the current Revival offshoots are 'nicer' to ex-members. I've been
working on a 'talk-show' interview with Lloyd Wrongfield but am
wondering where to draw the line. Including all the Lloyd-isms has been
fun though.Instagram and Twitter: @mothpete
