Its a pity a man so educated with many achievements in his professional life, being so easily manipulated by these two. Had Simon been the true Shepard the scriptures talk of . IE that of protecting the sheep from the wolves, he would not have victimised, the victims and put them out, instead he justified and defended the perpetrators. I'm sorry guys I was in the cult for 30 years remind me, Revival Centres is a christian organisation here isn't it, ?? or are we all missing something here. "he says shaking his head" Maybe there is merit in sending preachers and potential oversight to Bible college, (the ones I'm familiar with) be it Harvest (AOG) or Rhema (word & faith, Kenneth Hagins college) that I'm currently involved with now. just to understand the basics of the role of a Shepard. This whole thing sickens me, we were almost caught up in this many years ago, but fortunately I listened to that still small voice that the Holy spirit guides us with, (the internal witness) and it just didn't seem right. Simon appears very much to have done a huge back flip in his dealing with the matter and no doubt the courts have seen this. Time will tell. - I'm Out |

You'd recommend sending potential pastors to Harvest Bible College or Rhema? There goes your credibility. Toby |

Re:Revival 'pastors' should be edjukated Date Posted:31/05/2010 3:14 AMCopy HTML I went to Harvest Bible College and have a Bachelor of Arts (Biblical Studies) from there. It's kinda funny that they even call it Biblical Studies. It's a dogmatic Pentecostal degree of little use to those who walk away from that specific brand of Christianity. Yes, it was a stepping stone to serious studies later in my life, but I wouldn't recommend sending your dog there. I was banned from the Harvest Alumni Facebook page for saying so too. |

Re:Revival 'pastors' should be edjukated Date Posted:31/05/2010 5:07 AMCopy HTML Epios,
Harvest Bible College has zero credibility, and anything associated with Kenneth Hagin has less than zero credibility! Ask around if you're friends with anyone "in the know" and they'll tell you that HBC has probably got the worst reputation of any Bible College in Oz. A couple of people I know are graduates of the place and they're living in denial. They actually believe they've been trained to handle the Bible properly! Toby |

Re:Revival 'pastors' should be edjukated Date Posted:31/05/2010 5:26 AMCopy HTML @Epis. - Yes, you are right there. One can say what one wants about the AOG, but Revivalists they are not! I'd rather be in an AOG church than a Revivalist one to be sure. @Toby - I share your dislike for Harvest, but I know for a fact that there are far worse Bible Colleges around than Harvest. A lot of the small church-based ones are far worse. But yes, I wouldn't recommend anyone go to Harvest. |
