It's been a couple of years since I left an Australian revival cult and this year I started a blog to share my experiences with that cult and my journey recovering from the spiritual abuse since leaving.

I'm also planning to write a book over the next 12 months.

Also, for those who have left a religious cult and are struggling with your new-found freedom to establish your new identify and develop your own values and ethical framework, I strongly suggest you seek professional help. Having been diagnosed with depression I have been on anti-depressant medication and seeing a psychologist for the past 2 months and it has helped me greatly.

Accept that you have suffered spiritual abuse and while you may think you feel ok you can live a better, more content, happier, more meaningful life if you acknowledge that you have been hurt and you need to deal with that damage.
