Date Posted:09/09/2005 11:52 AMCopy HTML $%*'`[SavedByGrace]%*'`@Just thought I'd say g'day as I have lost touch with this on line community for the past few years, Glad to say I've found you again (hadn't really been looking that hard) and would be glad to participate in a positive way.I'm the 'internet contact point' guy that Darryl Williams berates in one of his unpleasant sound bytes 'The Internet Hates Us'.My family left the Adelaide R F in 1996 (I can't believe it's nearly 10 years !) and we still love Jesus and his grace. Thank goodness for grace as I'm a very poor Christian sometimes.I have, however, lost all of the fear that the Revival Centres drummed in to me for 15 years May 1982 - June 1996 and I know I'm 'accepted in the beloved'.I think I have a small calling on my life to help people who continue to suffer from a false sense of condemnation instilled by the Revvies. So, happy to help if I can.Bless ya.Greg Osborn

Re:Hello from Greg Osborn Date Posted:10/09/2005 1:26 PMCopy HTML Anyway nice to hear from u Greg, my email add is robertharrison25@yahoo.com.au Wazza.
A man died and went to heaven. He was met by Jesus and Jesus began to show him around. As they walked they saw some amazing things. Some too beautiful and amazing to describe. Eventually they came to a huge wall and the man heard the sound of music, laughing and what basically sounded like a party coming from behind the wall. Curious, the man asked Jesus what was going on behind the wall.
Jesus answered, "Shhhh!!! Not too loud. That"s the GRC. They think they"re the only ones here!!!"

Re:Hello from Greg Osborn Date Posted:11/09/2005 3:20 PMCopy HTML reply to chartdoct, I am not saying to drop tounges and baptism, Just dont make a doctrine out of it like the revival centers do, When the focuss is on purely on this, u miss the whole picture on why and how jesus saves. There is going to be countless people in heaven who never spoke in tounges or where baptized. Yes a soul who is honest with them selfves and has a heart to know God and is word will automaticly wont to be baptised and receive the spirit its just happans, it should'nt be forced down peoples throats like in the revival centers, or any church that comes from the revival centers that still applys the same application. Countless peole are turned away from God because of the over dramatized approch, i now have no time for it! Can u really say there has been mach growth in corna stone? You may be out of the cult, but is the cult out of you? In regards to drinking wine, you would have to be off the plantet if you think that a little wine is not ok. Jesus first wonder was turning the water into wine at a weeding, this was real wine, NOT GRAPE JUICE, like the revival centers say. Drinking one or 2 glasses of wine is not going to cause your brother to stumble, to apply that scripture is to take it completly out of context. Its so plane to see in many ways you are still under the same controll of the RF. Just saying we have dropped afew things from the RCI does not mean your free, the darkness that controls the REVIVAL CENTERS is very dark. And any church that models it i truly feel sorry for. From your bro in Christ
Wazza.

Interesting about Tom Manolakis. I knew he started a church but didn't know his doctrine. It appears it's the same as the RF and RCIs - which is repent, baptism and Holy spirit. I've got no problems with that, I actually reckon it's simple and gives a clear message. But, what is cornerstone allowing to do that the RF/RCI's didn't? Is it still scriptural? |

Re:Hello from Greg Osborn Date Posted:14/09/2005 10:48 PMCopy HTML I have freinds here that come from Toms church, they have told me a few things, just because a church drops a few things from the Revival centers, dosen't mean there all that different, because i know for a fact that many in Toms church come from the RCI, and are still under the same frame work of mind. There really hasn't been that much growth, and there still in the box.
Look i know there is some good hearted souls there, but i have seen many churchs that come from the RCI and still keep the same foundations, look on groupe history at the start of this site and which will give you the full story on the foundations that leed to the start of the RC.

Re:Hello from Greg Osborn Date Posted:23/09/2005 12:26 PMCopy HTML Hi to all who replied to my original post. Thanks for all the nice thoughts. I think I know who ChartDoctor is - PB ? and who is Mr Jonah ? It's so intersting to hear how people are doing and their leaving stories. I have to confess to being a little frustrated with getting the Baptism in the Holy Spirit balance right. IMHO I don't believe it's a salvation issue but gee it's still worth encouraging people to 'endued with powere from on high'. Haven't heard much about Vanuatu but I believe the Cornerstone folks are encouraging people to be Baptised in the HG and are seeing some pretty impressive miracles. I get too politically correct about it sometimes but didn't Jesus tell the folks to wait in Jerusalem for the experience before doing anything else ? Anyway Cheers and Bye for now. G O |
