Date Posted:11/09/2008 10:14 PMCopy HTML Morning Ian.. Ian can you recommend a good journal article for research purposes on Melchezidek. My own library is leading me "up the garden path" and I can't seem to locate any good Jewish literature on this subject. I have yet to check up Josephus and see if anything of interest is there but at the moment I have hit a brick wall.. Tried a quick nosey around the web but I get inundated with LDS nonsense on Google. Much thanks Eric |

Re:Didaktikon - Help Date Posted:12/09/2008 12:38 AMCopy HTML Good morning, Eric.
That's a pretty broad question, bud! Precisely what aspect of Melchizedek are you interested in? But if your enquiries are limited to Jewish understanding (predominantly, 2nd Temple Period), then you might care to search the following texts: From Qumran (the DSS): 11QMelchizedek 11QApocryphal Psalms 1QM (the War Scroll) 4Q544 (the Visions of Amram) 4Q400-407 (the Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice) If you're after a slightly later (4th century) Jewish understanding, then you could consider the following: From Nag Hamadi (Gnostic writings): NHC IX This is just a start Blessings, Ian email: didaktikon@gmail.com

Plenty more digging to do yet, lets see how many years this will this take |
