Date Posted:11/03/2007 10:01 PMCopy HTML Hello friends!
I have to inform you sadly, that i will no longer be able to host the cultweb.net Domain and Database!
This means with in a very short time this domain will disapear as Im financialy not much longer able to keep the server where the domain is hostet.
the situation has grown worse and worse within the last fiew month, and many of my costumers who are on this server have failed to pay their Service to me. This has now brought me in to a very hard time so now we have reached the dead end of it nearly.
for thouse who are intressted - The bills open due to the not incoming money from the costumers are at the moment 347 ? - so they server houser will anyway soon cut the server from the net
Sad story, but whart shall i do!
God bless: Andy

Re:Closedown of cultweb.net Date Posted:12/03/2007 1:05 AMCopy HTML I? realy down with my nerves and any help to keep it going is apprecciated. I have keept it going for so long now and it makes me very sad to now bother anybody with this, especialy as we have going to very hard times before where i (God be praised), was not in need to bother anybody, but we have finaly reached a critical stage which for shure will not last for long time as I? already looking for new costumers to back up all the running costs, but for the next two moth we are not able to pay the server, and the hoster is not willing to wait such a long time as you may imagine.
So even if it is now puting a big presure on me and fills me with a kind of shame, I have to admit that I? realy in urge need of help this time. so i thank everybody who is able and willing to help in this hard times to keep it giong. you can reach me via e-mail: andreas@duswald.de or support@phpdome.de if you are able and willing to help! So thanks for your kind repliy Greetings: Andy |

Re:Closedown of cultweb.net Date Posted:23/03/2007 7:25 PMCopy HTML Most of the money i have gathered together now with some extra jobs i could do. So i could manage that two of my servers could still run on. so now i have to find some more jobs to work in the last 50 ? to get the server with cultweb.net up again.
so I? in good mood, that the website will be up again within the next 2 weeks or so. but I have learned from it greatly. After 6 Years supplying the EX-Cai Members with costfree Service, there was noone who was willing to help here. so Even though i will get the web online again, I myself will completly withdraw myself from this website or any further help for this work. When you are in real troubles your finding out very quickly who are realy intrestet and who is your friend who will help you. God bless: Andy |

Hi Andy, sorry about your site. We'll put your link back at the bottom of this page alongside Ian's when it's all online again. There was a big hole there, so I made up a link and shout box for Moddy to throw in. If it's any consolation there were some financial contributors who paid into this forum by mistake. This forum is pulling so many views nowadays that the funds dry up pretty quick so Moddy and a few others have had to put chunks of their own into Aimoo more than usual lately. It's not easy to get money out of people online and there's only a handful of regulars at this forum at any one period. Don't be disheartened... it's the nature of the beast to keep the wallet tight in the pocket. Instagram and Twitter: @mothpete

Andreas, Firstly I also agree with previous posters that the site is in principal very useful and contains some great material. However it is poorly constructed, badly written, difficult to navigate and rarely updated. So are you surprised noone is leaping forward with the suspiciously large sums of money you claim are needed to keep it running? May I suggest you place the contents of the site (which I believe are not owned by one person in particular) somewhere online so they remain in the public domain. http://rapidshare.com/ is probably suitable. Also, I get my domains and hosting for about US$30 per year from http://www.godaddy.com/ Good luck! |
