Date Posted:18/06/2010 11:36 PMCopy HTML This post is directed to all listeners of Keith Moore in RCI and folk who are wanting just that bit more in their teaching As you know from one of my previous posts, I put out a request to find another church, After being a fervent fan of Keith Moore, with a few other ex-rciers, after having been out for 4 years and being involved in other churches, we found none of these meeting quite met the cut, . So we stopped going to meetings and waited at home on the Lord for two months just listening to Brother Keith who offers all his meetings in wmv and mp3 format for free down load at http://www.flcbranson.org/listseries.php

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:04/07/2010 2:58 PMCopy HTML For those in RCI who may be wondering about this place, while they are worlds apart, in substance and depth, both my young boys including a few others this Sunday all were prayed with and received the baptism of the Holy spirit in Sunday school, (sorry to those who are think differently on here but each one to there own). I haven't let go of the importance of this experience, and nether has Keith Moore, the late Kenneth Hagan
Id rather my kids grow up learning substance and truth then the latest Hill$ong release. Even though I totally love Hill$ong, but in its right context *grin*. It Certainly beats the Old old story sung a million times. |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:04/07/2010 10:35 PMCopy HTML What I like about this forum is that we are all free to share our beliefs without being attacked or judged. How very exciting for your sons! There is nothing more fantastic than to provide a stable Christian upbringing for your family. I hope and pray that they embrace these values for the rest of their lives. I say it because I have family who are so lost in a world of drugs, crime, alcohol abuse etc and although there is hope for them, it is a difficult road to come out from. We are so fortunate to be a part of such a pure and amazing life with God and Jesus. Hallelujah! I'll come and visit the church sometime in the future. Faithful Shadow |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 12:33 AMCopy HTML Thanks Shadow I really appreciate your kind words, the forum has certainly changed for the better so thank you for all involved. As one child was being prayed for and receiving and speaking the youngest placed their hands on them and also then received and spoke, The Sunday school teacher has a gift for helping young folk receive.
Another point, in-case folk are considering a visit, and they feel that their kids will be pressured into this, nothing could be further from the truth, and something would never ever be done, its a personal walk everything happens in Gods timing. We had already given the Sunday school teacher permission to pray with them in this manner, especially since we have prayed with them in the spirit since the day they were born. It seemed right and it turned out to be right. Im_out |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 12:48 AMCopy HTML Reply to Im_out he Sunday school teacher has a gift for helping young folk receive. Im_out Im_out, I don't want to rain on your parade at all, but can you see the philosophical problems some might have with your above statement? Why would it be at all difficult for kids to receive the Holy Spirit of God (which is supposedly freely given to all who ask)? Why does anyone need 'help' at all? Aren't we told to come to God 'as little children'? It seems unless people like the Sunday school teacher are on hand, that might not be the best advice. |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 1:42 AMCopy HTML She just prayed with them that's all Troy, in the same way some of us were prayed with to recieve :)
Many recieve in by themselves, as well, No one can help God give someone what he freely gives to those that ask. |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 4:20 AMCopy HTML Reply to prezy When I was in the AOG, we would often hear the claim from non-tongues believers that we 'coached' and 'taught' people how to speaking in tongues. I always rejected the challenge outright until I (later) understood what they meant. To 'teach' or 'coach' someone to speak in tongues is what Im_out might call 'to help someone receive'. And that goes on in all manner of Pente churches including Rev Ctr assemblies. The Rev Ctrs are the most blatant with their repetition of 'hallelujah' but the same thing went on in more subtle ways in the AOG. 'Just let your tongue go,' 'Allow God to take control,' 'Switch off your mind and trust God,' etc. I would expect, if the Christian message were true and the gift were real, then the way to prepare for it would be to better understand the grace and love of God and to develop one's relationship with God etc. Of course, doing this doesn't usually end up in tongues so it's not the road chosen by our Pente friends very often. ;P |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 6:51 AMCopy HTML "To 'teach' or 'coach' someone to speak in tongues is what Im_out might call 'to help someone receive'" Don’t upset the tone of this guys, people are now coming on here who are still in Revival and feeling they will not be pounced on as in past times. Because of the new tone to the forum folk can now slowly start the process of seeing the truth of what’s really going on in Revival Centers and all associated off shoots. Remember it’s a gradual process; often an unwilling one at first whereby something you read or hear pricks and niggles away at your consciousness that prompts further investigation, and so the slow process of unfolding and unwinding begins. Where YOU / WE are today in our thinking is where most folk that leave will take 2, 5, 10, 15 years to get to. Bit by bit the process of undoing past ideologies takes place. God knows I have let go of more than I can admit to. J And no doubt according to some on here have many more to let go *LOL” It took me reading this forum 5 years or so before venturing out side the RCI bubble of life. Im_Out |

Re:Calling all closet Keith Moore followers in RCI Date Posted:05/07/2010 7:58 AMCopy HTML Reply to Im_out Yeah, I hear you. I don't want to be seen to be taking issue with every post and different point of view on here either. I agree that people need to be free to find their own paths and discuss issues without being pounced on or feel forced to conform. After all, the Rev Ctr leaders do what they do to people for the sake of 'the truth' and it always ends in pain and hurt. As an educator, I know that people learn about things best when they find out for themselves. Lectures aren't a very effective teaching tool. :) |
