Date Posted:21/12/2007 4:40 PMCopy HTML I posted this on the CAI forum, but I've posted it here as well as I thought you book-ish people might be interested. :-) ############################################################################# - I've left the CAI cult. I have a BIG collection of Books - I no longer really want to read, having concluded Christianity is an offense and generally a waste of time. So, what do I do with my pile of "Christian" books:
Any thoughts - will be grateful. Need to do something - they're clogging up my life. I already re-cycled all those chorus sheets and theme sheets - I know have quite a collection of plastic pockets! |

Re:BOOKS - what do I do with them now ? Date Posted:21/12/2007 10:37 PMCopy HTML Go out in to the deepest forrest and strip naked, it must be a night without a moon, build a fire, rub mud all over yourself so that you are at one with nature and then burn each book one by one as you dance around the fire chanting "Oh, what a silly sausage I am." Take a friend with you to watch this site. Nah, only joking. If they have a bent to them to that particular whacko group, eg GRC has books on the Great Pyramid, then throw them out. The deeper in the rubbish bin the better. If the others are pretty tame and gauranteed to not harm, take them to an Op shop run by a religious group, they always have a wall or section about religion. My library is made up from books that deal with cults, how to escape from same, how to get help to recover mentally from same. If you have any books that fall under that heading then I would be interested in buying some from you to add to my shelves. If money isn't an issue, sometimes just throwing the whole lot away has a very cleansing, liberating feeling!! Good luck, Glad "Faith is not about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out."

Re:BOOKS - what do I do with them now ? Date Posted:07/01/2008 1:35 PMCopy HTML Hey Glad
thanks for options - I think a large fire is what will happen - not keen on spreading "rubbish" and encouraging people following bum beliefs/doctrines. That means almost all the books I will destroy.... 200-300 books!!! God ! and how I used to treasure them!
