Re:Assemblies of God Date Posted:03/05/2011 9:17 AMCopy HTML Hi, Stella.
As there was several times to be read about "Assemblies of God" here and on the CAI web page I would like to ask if someone has some information about this church. Is there a similiar way of teaching and also such a rigid leadership as in CAI? And is there also so much controll of private lifes? My recommendation is that you avoid Pentecostalism in all it's forms (including the AOG). People who've left groups like the CAI do not need to be exposed to teachings that may simply reinforce much of the nonsense they accepted previously. It would be far better to find a normal, doctrinally orthodox Christian denomination in which to regroup and grow. Blessings, Ian email: didaktikon@gmail.com

I understand your point -- but nevertheless the following links may help Stella: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revival_Centres_International http://www.sekten-sachsen.de/kurzbeschreibung-christlich.htm#rci -- Torsten. |

Re:Assemblies of God Date Posted:03/05/2011 5:42 PMCopy HTML Thank you, I already knew this link.
At Ian - I am not looking for a church, I just thought about one person who sometimes writes me some brief greetings in another forum. I would like to know if this church is still more or less okay and if there are rigid rules or not. There is nothing more connected with this question. Maybe you have still a bit more information for me? Thanks and kind regards, Stella |

Re:Assemblies of God Date Posted:05/05/2011 12:45 PMCopy HTML Dear guest, Assemblies of God are as close to a 'normal' assembly as it gets ... while still preaching something in danger of being called a false Gospel. So the bible would tell us that such organisations are anathema. I would not be 'against' the followers... but relentless against their teachings.
It is not a small thing to add such hard requirements as immitating Apostolic signs to the Gospel - while distracting and belittling what is really important = the transformation of the MIND. The consequences of 'only' preaching false doctrine are sometimes hard to understand and not immediately apparent... but ask some people like us who are now trying to clear up the mess. Excrutiating soul pain in the nights - I seriously did not know the true meaning of doubts until I had to face the errors of long held beliefs. Blessings, Torben |
