Ian - you say you are a minister of the Word but not of the Church, but how can this be?The two are not mutually exclusive. An ordained church minister is a Minister of the Word. You say you have 'authority to preach and teach', but who gives you this authority if not a church?Yourself?Having a theology degree does not make anyone a minister of God's word. No lay-person can be a minister of God's word, because he is not ordained. So explain where your authority to 'preach and teach' comes from?Yourself?

Biblianut - a 'Git' is what you call an old man, and is probably best aimed at someone other than myself.

And, really, how can you dare to tell me that I don't understand and know Scripture?

On what basis do you presume this?

How can you make such a judgemental comment to someone whom you do not even know?

Do you not see how irrational you are?

But you take your lead, and abusive tone, from Ian. Eric included. Gofers.

Hi Ralph,

Given that anonymous poster(s) like to fire at Ian with prooftexts, I thought just to lighten up a little, I thought I would fire my own as well:

13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from an infant (Christian - context) you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God  may be competent, equipped for every good work. (ESV - context modified - 2 Tim. 3- 13 - 17)

Chuckle, I couldn't resist that one Ralph so cheer up...  smiley9

blessings

Eric..

Guest,

I don’t know where you get your meaning of words from but I would guess the same place as your source for your biblical ignorance. Fairy Land
