The Fundamentalists place a lot of emphasis on Baptism (usually full immersion), Receiving the Holy Spirit, becoming saved and some speak in tongues.

Do any preach the sheep and goats line?

RE:Mathew 25 Parable of the Sheep and the Goats
(Date Posted:07/10/2008 22:58:47)

 Hello DTM,

Just to help qualify the question, what do you mean by any?

Is that any other fundamentalists, or any other churches?

Just couldn't tell who you wanted to answer the question,

Best regards,

Paul.

Paul

Those Churches who run social programmes obviously subscribe to it, Salvation Army being possible top of the list regarding rank and file (good choice of words here!) particiapation.

To me the parable is quite specific and I am asking if you are aware of any fundamentalist churches that participate.

Hiya, Mole.

Having read this thread a few times now, I've just got to ask: are you speaking in "tongues"?! I can't make heads nor tails of just what it is that you're proposing/asking/defending/attacking

Blessings,

Ian

Hello All,

Our Fluffy Sea Urchin has unravelled it for us:

urchin: Umm.. I think D-T-M is just raising the fact that the fundamentalist (RF/RC etc) churches don't see the need for looking after, and showing compassion to, others - and also pointing out (by using Matt 25) the consequences to these organisations of not doing so. I think he's also asking if you are aware of any churches that DO subscribe to such programs apart from Salvos?

After reading the scripture after Urchins comment is now makes sense.

But, alas, I cannot answer it because I am an Anglican, not a Fundamentalist.

And the Mole doesn't need to know what RCI is already not doing.....

Regards ( and thank you Urch)

Hello DTM,

My apologies for not understanding the question.

I did not take the time to actually read the scripture first before considering the question.

I assumed I knew the scripture and thought of another scripture ( that I now cannot find) about the sheep being led by the shepherd, but the goats jumping the fence.

Had I bothered to read the parable referred to I would of worked it out.

Regards PM
