Hello!

Man, it's been some time since I was last here, hope everybody is ok.

Just a quick question as a couple of people have been on my mind recently.

I was the best man at the wedding of Nigel and Renatta Taylor back in December 1994. I first met Nigel at school when we were both 11. I am simply wondering how they are. I dont want Hungarian contact details or anything else, but just simply - are they well and doing ok?

Thankyou, and best wishes to anybody who remembers me in Revival UK. Wendy Sharrock, we still think of you and sincerely hope you are doing great.

Love to all, where-ever and whoever.

Gregg

Thanks Earth, that's nice of you.

Tell Nigel and Renatta that Gregg says hello.

I know the grip of REVIVAL WORLD can badly affect minds and perceptions and a hello from somebody like me can often cause terror.

Accompanying this is the threat of extermination that can follow if the "leaders" ever find out.

I found out myself through grim experience what life can be like when your mind wrestles with what you think are problems, but of course they are problems only within REVIVAL WORLD. A bit like Russell Crowe in A BEAUTIFUL MIND when he finally realises that the things he sees are not real  and says so. His healing began at that point in the film and I kind of see similarities.

I know I've said this before, but what was I doing as a 28 year old man asking a "pastor" if I could go out with a 27 year old woman??? I thought I had intelligence and life experience when I began attending the old Revival Centres. Obviously not enough, because I traded in my brain and replaced it with marshmallow.

Frightening man.

Nige and Renatta, love ya.

Thanks Earth

Yeh I remember the dress code, makes me laugh too. I still have one revival magazine. I have kept it as the UK assemblies are featured in it. There I am, looking as if I am attending a job interview with a Multi-National company.

I remember when a leader called somebody " a slob" (behind his back of course, the gossipy revival way) because he wore jeans and had no tie. Others were simply told they had bad attitudes. They would become "problem people".

So much of it was deeply unpleasant, a closed and unreal way of life, often lived in a strange atmosphere of fear and excuses.

Nigel was a cool and approachable guy. He was in our football team at the recent German Camp 2008.

Actually, at the Dutch convention he did tell people to smile when they sing to God. Naturally, the problem is in the inside, thus affecting the outside.

The robot clap and awful choruses only made it worse.
