You know that God’s glory has departed don’t you? You can feel it, that feeling that something is not quite right, something you can’t put your finger on… ichabod.
When God withdraws His Spirit from somewhere His judgment soon follows.
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God : and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17
Read Ezekiel chapters 10 through 14
To the Shepherds of RCI:
Read Ezekiel chapter 34
All Jesus asked of you was to feed his lambs and to take care of his sheep (John 21:15-17). Under your heavy shepherding many of his lambs have perished and his sheep are starving.
“You have killed many people in this city and filled its streets with the dead.” Ezekiel 11:6
Do you believe that all those sheep you threw out were the bones – and that you and the remainder left at RCI are the meat in the pot?
“Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it. You fear the sword and the sword is what I will bring against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.” Ezekiel 11:7,8
Many times God has sent someone to show you where you have veered off the path, to warn you to turn back to him, but you have covered your ears and hardened your hearts in pride.
Open your ears and your hearts! Repent! Turn back to God, through the blood of His son Jesus and show yourselves to be merciful to His sheep. “Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:12,13
Should you close your hearts and ears again to the warning of God Almighty, be prepared to have the sin of your greed, idolatry and pride brought down on your own heads.
To the flock of RCI:
Jesus said “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” and “ He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own he goes ahead of them and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.” John 10:3-5
“The hired-hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.” John 10: 12, 13
Consider the contrast: The good shepherd loves His sheep to the laying down of His own life for them, whereas the hired hand abandons the sheep when he sees the wolf approaching in order to protect himself.
Well, the wolf is coming.
What do you think your hired-hand shepherd will do?
Consider that God foretells Ezekiel the actions that their leader will take once judgment has begun:
“The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so hat he cannot see the land…” Ezekiel 12:12-14
Jesus commanded you to follow Him, not a hired hand, nor any man. Disobey this command from your Lord at your own peril.
“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy or me…. And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:37-39
To sit under an aberrant ministry is to support it.
To put your social needs, your family life, your RCI status or even your doctrine before Christ is idolatry. You too will share in the coming judgment of RCI unless you repent! Give up your idolatry and follow Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep.
Listen to God’s promise when His people return to Him and remove their idols:
“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and keep my laws. They will be my people and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 11:19-20
To the perished lambs of RCI:
Don’t let the hard-hearted actions of the hired-hands turn you from the gentle shepherd of your soul, who has already laid down his life for you.
Read how much He loves you.
Luke 15:3-7
Matthew 15:11-24
Ephesians 3:14-19
Pray to Jesus and He will guide you.
