Do any of you recall all those ridiculous conspiracy talkson the Catholic churchthatAlf Neriused to gave? Well it now seems that Alf Neri who was pastor in Melboune has fallen from grace. His beliefs( and he certainly had a few whacky ones)did not exactly coincide with RCI policy ,so after being given the ultimatum by Simon Longfield and Jeff Beggs to shape up or ship out he decided on the latter.

The informant tells me that the official line given to her is that Alf was soft on those having sex outside of holy matrimony and thought that they ought to be forgiven and allowed back into the RCI if they were sinning no longer.

 That is a bit of a shame really.  Alf had to put so many people out for that ( including me) that it must of finally dawned on him that the grace of Jesus is able to cover our sins.  Alf many times spent his own time trying to sort out my bad marriage, and was the only one in RCI that had shown any interest in assisting.  I really feel for him, and hope he is OK.  I will try and contact him and console him and offer a hand of friendship.

 I quizzed the ex about Alfie - A few weeks after he put me out, apparently the goss is that his kiddies found themselves in the same position.  He then left RCI and the word is that he has started his own church.  I googled his name and could not find anything out.  Apparrently he took a few with him as well.

Does anyone know Alfie's new church?

Hi,
Im new to this, just thought i would answer. I believe Alf has started his own assembly somewhere in Richmond. If interested i will try to look further. I am still in contact with his children and i can ensure you that the goss is wrong.

 Hello,

I am glad the goss is wrong.  I emailed Alf yesterday and he called me straight back on my mobile - had a good chat with him.  He is doing ok, he has got a lot of ex-rci floaters turning up.  I think he has about 10 to 12 people fellowshipping with him.  He said that he is using a Richmond council building or something.  He does not have a good opinion of RCI now, and he told me he feels sorry for those still in there.

Anyway - it was nice to hear his voice.
