Well Tberry,

It's all unfolding at the moment. John & David had there first independant meeting on Sunday with about 10 people.
The story is just too long to lay out at moment. 3 years of rubbish dished out to the guys finally came to a head last week.
I'm really proud of the guys they are not bitter. They are very honourable men.
They will make themselves available to anyone who needs there help without a request jump ship.

I guess I'm echoing the same question as Talmid: are they moving towards becoming a Christian church, or have they remained Revivalist in all but name?

You know thats a good question. I think a whole rework of the doctrine would be in order.
Anyway that will be up to they guys, there many things that will need an overhaul.
Funny thing happened while we (?) sat at a coffee shop at Sunny Coast on Sat morn. we had a visit from Pr Bob Caldwell who was sitting at next table he recognised a couple of people and so came over to say hi. Some of you old timers might remember the name. For those who don't he got exited from the Revival Centre at the time back in 1991 because he refused to forcefully marry any more people.
He actually asked the same question? He attends Kings Church at Sunny  Coast (didn't ask what they believe).

Sure. But two questions: (1) do the two fellows actually know that the doctrine needs overhauling? And (2) have they the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to do so?

or offensive that a church would have money at all?

I have read and re-read the body of your message many times at various speeds, mainly very slowly... but I still don't get what you are trying to say?

I - am- kid-ding my-self---- if- I -think- my- com-ments -are -pos-i-tive -in-di-ca-tor-s -of -Steve -some-body's- church...

see i'm still doing it and I still don't get it...

I only laughed and asked why you think something is wrong with a church a)having money and b)giving it away oh, and c)using money for technology.

but I have no idea about indicators or whatever ... and how asking a question is kidding myself.
