Congratulations.... I'm happy to hear you made the step out before the rigor-mortis of being controlled took over your body. We may have abolished slavery in the modern society, but we still manage to find ways to get people to live lives with a chain and ball. As adults we can be responsible for our own lives... in the end we have to take the responsibility for how we live and how we teach our children.

Fair weather friends who love to pile the guilt on you if you choose to decide not to go to a prayer and fast or a flipping picnic.

Yeah, they probably won't tell you you've lost your salvation, but they'll certainly want you to believe that you've walked away from god and therefore put your soul at risk. Don't listen to them, and... my advice... really concentrate less about thinking what others think of you. It's hard not to live life for a while without looking at everything through Revival coloured glasses, but enjoy your new church and make a heap of new friends. Keep an open mind and be prepared to widen it a bit. The church you're going to now probably won't have a big solid unified list of doctrines / and assembly guidelines. At least you'll be able to decide for yourself what you think works.

You'll get more at the supermarket then the tight menu at McDonalds.
