$%*'`[Camp duty draft dodger]%*'`@Did you ever notice at camp a breed of bloke that used to get around looking likethey stepped of the set from the man from Snowy River. It was almost a GRC uniform. The standard get up of the" Corioous Cowboyous" was.Akubra hatdrizabone riding coatBelt withhuge cowboy belt buckleLarge pocket knife attached to belt in leather pouch ( required for emergency whittling perhaps)RM williams or Blundstoneboots.Huge bunch of keys attached to jeans dangling outside pocket. For the truly advanced member optional extras includedLarge Porno style moustache- Eddie Soutekou styleLarge MaglitetorchClipboardWalkie Talkie with optional earpiece for senior membersA chainsaw for the dominant male of the herdThis shy creature could be found congregating in groups around the big top trying to outdo one another in tent rope tightening contests , driving their car , an old 1986 Ford Fairlanethat did the duty bin run ( never actually getting their hands dirty picking up the rubbish mind you) or sneaking around aftter 11.30 pm trying to make the "big bust" and catch some kid coming home from supper after lights out. Generally they were never found actually "at the meeting" but buzzing around being important and ensuring that there was enough "clodette" to killalllife on the planet being sprayed on the toilet block walls. What is it with the WMD sized stockpile ofClodette?Theyhad enough of this chemical weapon to make Saddam Hussein jealous.Any more and the UN would raid the camp looking for Chemical Ali's beach holiday home.A prerequisite to being accepted into the posse was that you had to have no connection with any rural activity whatsover. Real farmers or land owners were not permitted to join the club. To be accepted you had to live in Norlane, Whittington, or Corio. Members had to ideally be long term unemployed or at best hold crappy low paid jobs.I miss you guys ( not)

You've hit the nail right on the head with this one.

I remember Mr. Hollins actually preaching one night that we should consider having basic factory jobs to serve the Lord better. Obviously, as your post indicates, he meant to serve himself better.

Why aren't people allowed to post for sale notices at the toilet block? My only guess is that there were too many disgruntled buyers being sold things by fellow saints that were not what they were said to be and were overpriced. Misleading advertising. Noel has often discouraged trade between assembly members because of problems of one sort or another....its easier to deal with people in the world, because then you could blame bad trades etc on their unsaved characteristics.

get some balls all u anonymous posters. put yr names on here. as a side note the reason for sale wasnt allowed was the arguments that started after true christians sold dodgy goods to the unsuspecting single mothers, and refused to return or refund. I remember, I was a kid it was back in the days of the twin tubs in the laundry

I tried to join the group, I lived in the right suburb and even had a drizabone, but I left the GRC and my beloved drizabone before I wass fully accepted as one of the elite!

So I did, and quit the GRC that same night.
