Hi slkjack,
A brief history from my studys of the GRC:
1909 - The first Pentecostal Church 'Good News Hall' formed by Pastor Janet Lancaster (female pastor!!!)
1920's - Many indepedent pentecostal churches join together and form pentecostal movements
1937 - Pentecostal Churches Australia (including Good News Hall) and Assemblies of God Australia unite and become the Assemblies of God Australia (which changed name in 2007 to Australian Christian Churches)
1944 - Leo Harris and Thomas Foster split from the Assemblies of God over British-Israelite doctrine which was not approved by the AOG. They formed the National Revival Crusade. In 1950 Noel Hollins and family were "saved" by Lloyd Longfield in this movement. Noel Hollins was ordained as a Pastor in 1952 by Thomas Foster in Ballarat.
1952 - Leo Harris together with most of the Victorian churches split from Thomas Foster (including Lloyd Longfield and Noel Hollins) and formed the Commonwealth Revival Crusade. About 1956 Noel Holins relocated from Ballarat to pastor the work in Geelong. (In 1963 Thomas Foster and Leo Harris reunited and renamed their assemblies Christian Revival Crusade)
1959 - Noel Hollins and Lloyd Longfield split from the Commonwealth Revival Crusade and formed the Revival Centres Australia (now known as Revival Centres International) This is when they changed their doctrine of salvation from the Christian doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ - to the revival doctrine that one must speak in tongues to be saved.
1962'ish - All the eldership and many others left the Geelong assembly and rejoined the Commonwealth Revival Crusade.
1972 - Noel Hollins split from the Revival Centres Australia. Noel Hollins did not rename his movement, but instead set up his assemblies as pty ltd businesses, which allows them to control who can and can not attend, thus making them the extreeme exclusive cult they are now.
1991 - Scott Williams lead another split from the Revival Centres International and became the Christian Assemblies International
1995 - John kuhlman lead another split from the Revival Centres International and became the Revival fellowship
These 4 Revival cults all have their origins in good and Godly churches, just because of human ego and power to control these cults have been birthed and have grown and continue to decieve people. If you are in the GRC or any of the other revival cults, or if you have left them but haven't found God, then please look at their history, the Australian Christian Churches (AOG) and the Christian Revival Crusade have more than 1,500 churches nationally and they are still preaching the same salvation message as they were in 1909, which is very different to the message changed message taught by the GRC, CAI, RF and RCI ...

"You need to do what your heart knows is right"
So I did, and quit the GRC that same night.
