Howdy Y’all

I recently left the Revival Fellowship and have started a new work. Not a new work really just continuing to do what we have always done absent the politics, i.e. Signs, wonders, miracles etc

I notice that a lot of people here spend a considerable time arguing incidental dribble with Ian and co. This really in unnecessary. There are many more fruitful ways to spend your time.

To you onlookers who have also left the Revivalist churches. Why not do what I have done and start your own work starting from your house and branching out from there.

Get a good printer, a website and hire a room for two days a week and your on your way. Jesus said he will confirm the word with signs following, and he will!

Don’t spend your time being led by orthodox teaching masquerading as shepherds (wolves in sheep’s clothing) If you are uncertain about doctrine then by all means debate and challenge. But this site is not the place to that any more, It has changed!!

Anyone who begins to really get on top of Ian and co will be banned before being allowed to fully make their arguments thus creating an imbalance in the theatre of the debate.

In the end you are misled to believe that Ian’s arguments are much more substantial than they actually are.

The simple Bible faith if sincerely presented to people changes lives and results in the type of church that we all read about in the Bible. If your local church, Revival or not has become political and incapable of functioning like the Philadelphian church then perhaps you need to start over.

Ian would steer you towards orthodoxy, others will steer you towards Ultra-Revivalism. I suggest that you will find the Bible faith “that was once delivered to the saints” somewhere in the middle.

To be fair I believe I have a bias as does everyone on this site as well as my sites. The difference is that Uncoolman’s site has degraded into a bitter, unholy, unfruitful place that does YOU no good in recovery and NO good spiritually.

For your own long term spiritual health please consider.

I tend to scroll past all Ian,s posts now. I believe all the bitching toward one another plays straight into the hands of revival leaders preaching against us. Also agree with Mot Mot that Ian shouldn't hyjack every thread. BUT after following your links I would TOTALY side with Ian on how far out of whack your beliefs are. The tongues only salvation theory is too silly for words. Years and years of Godly men in the orthodox Church such as the Wesleys, Bunyan, Calvin, Luther and more recent times people like John Dunn and Geoffrey Bingham NONE OF WHOM SPOKE IN TONGUES have given us a treasure of understanding based on SOUND KNOWLEDGE AND FULL UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God. You sound like another wannabe Revivalist pastor with pretensions and aspirations to be the head honcho... why start another church if not to be the boss of it?

But to be "deadly" serious for a moment ... assuming you're telling the truth ... You are showing yourself to be just another in a loooong line of LRL-influenced people who has (to use an expression from my profession) incorrectly analysed (identified and understood) the problem. The "social dysfunction" which seems to range from merely stupid - through psychologically damaging - to criminal is a symptom. While symptomatic relief is needed, people need to root out the cause of the problem. Trying to resolve "the wrong problem" will at best lead to a lot of wasted effort while allowing "the real problem" to continue doing its damage. That "real problem" is, to put it bluntly, the preaching of what Paul calls "another gospel". It doesn't matter that others, such as the Messrs Clarke Sr, or the UPC etc may have similar ideas. The no-tongues-no-Holy Spirit notion is simply contradicted by the bible. You may think of growing no's of fellow believers, but so what? Do you have any idea of the no's of "fellow believers" of some Hindu gurus? I know the biblical problems with your teaching have been highlighted to you time-after-time. Your blindness remains a matter between you and God. The history of the must-speak-in-tongues movements is littered with schism and damage. Can't you see even that? seed - fruit! seed - fruit!
