It is now nearly 10 yrs since Noel put me out of fellowship, and coincidently nearly 10 yrs waiting for Noel to come to my front door, or simply 'phone me to say goodday, how ya going ,etc. Still waiting.
I'm coping OK as I have trained myself to not to overreact to situations. I've had some terrible times over these past 10 yrs, sometimes I just want to confront Noel and ahve a conversation with him, and then I realise what a waste of time it would be. I get annoyed with the hypocrisy of current GRC members at how they ignore you in the street. I'm loving this forum, I think it has broken done much of the mystic of the GRC, something that Noel has fought hard to achieve in pre internet days. I feel 2007 will be a wonderful year for this forum and it will achieve great wounds for the GRC and Noel.

i feel realy good
when i first left i felt so free, realizing i needed to re-learn what christianity was was and is hard
i was lucky it was only my imeadiate family that was a part of the chuch and they all left too, altho for years my dad would say it was a mistake to leave he eventualy realized how much they were off with their doctrine (for that i my mum an sister will be forever gratefull to the the increadably longsuffering paster of his church- lol arguing with my dad is a trial at the best of times)
i will never stop thanking god for my sister, befor finding the forum she was my support and the person i talked all this out with (just as a side note i introduced her to the forum yesterday she is very excited an im sure will be a member in the near future YAY!!)

I feel slightly nauseous this morning but nothing a nice hot cuppa coffee won't fix. Some fresh air, a drive down to town. I'm looking forward to that.

-------------------------------------------------------------- In exchange for obedience, Christianity promises salvation in an afterlife; but in order to elicit obedience through this promise, Christianity must convince people that they need salvation, that there is something to be saved from. Christianity has nothing to offer a happy person living in a natural, intelligible universe. If Christianity is to gain a motivational foothold, it must declare war on earthly pleasure and happiness, and this, historically, has been its precise course of action. In the eyes of Christianity, woman(man) is sinful and helpless in the face of God, and is potential fuel for the flames of hell. Just as Christianity must destroy reason before it can introduce faith, so it must destroy happiness before it can introduce salvation.

OK. Seeings it is here I would like to share with everybody how I am feeling now!!
I am feeling sad and depressed.. I miss my wife and kid... I feel as if they do to love me but are afraid to do anything about it. Because of the GRC Cult Doctrine. They know I love them so so so much and they know I am alone everyday..
I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs the praise to the LORD for allowing Me to love them both the way i do. UNCONDITIONALLY AND WITHOUT CONTEMPT...

Hi NTL
Hang in there buddy, God loves you and He has a plan and purpose for your life. Of course you miss your wife and child and that's normal - but have trust and faith in God to show you His plan. I know that everything will work out well for you eventually - it's almost like a time of waiting on the Lord, sometimes He lets us go through tough times like these so that we can grow and mature more spiritually. I look at the trials that, for example, Joseph went through - from being thrown in a pit, to a palace, to a prison, to ending up almost a prince (read his story from Genesis 30 onwards). He went through a time of testing and he never waivered from his trust and faith in God.
Have faith, my friend - God loves you and will never ever leave you,
God bless, Urchin x x

Feeling great! Life's great and I've just got engaged to my woman of my dreams :) Haven't looked at this website for a year or so, but I've been thinking of my family (parents and siblings) a bit lately (they're still in the GRC). Still miss them even though it's been about 18 years. Would be nice to see them at my wedding, but I know that's not going to happen.Oh well - their loss!
Anyway, all the best everyone!!

Don't stress to much, sometimes they break the rules or bend them. My father came to my wedding reception but didn't come to the service because it was in a Church.
