Hi IAN,

I believe you are from the RCI... I have just come back to this forum after several years and have read a couple of posts and noticed much of the ranting - and some of your comments.

I was in the cai cult for long enough to get to know many of the former RCI pastors and members and just want to make you aware that the RCI was like a kindergarten in comparison with CAI. You might be wanting to interject why it took us all so long to see the light and get out. I can't answer that question any more that most of the others will be able to and there is certainly no simple answer to it. I have in the meantime had the blessing to have contact with several of the former RCI pastors and it is great to see some of them have managed the move away from "cult-christianity" into mainstream churches and have learned what the gospel of grace is really all about. The cai does not teach or move in the grace of God and once you move away from that - the results are disastrous.

At the end of the 3rd Reich when the concentrations camps were liberated - I can assure you that many of the jews who survived would have found themselves in a very similar situation. When faced with the NAZI beasts - many of them who were not strong enough to stand up during these times - succumbed to doing things they would have all bitterly regreted. I can assure there is not one person who could throw the first stone. Yes we all need to learn to forgive - but that does not happen over night and - we need to have and show grace on that journey.

One bit of personal advise to you - drop those stones you seem to be picking up - and just let the people be, on this site - for some this is the only place they can vent their frustration... and some of it is pretty bitter.

Whilst I don't agree with it all - to me it is just a reflection of the pyschological terror inflicted on them in the first place.

No need to reply - I just wanted to give you some friendly advice.

Hi BL,

With Ian, you usually find that he will only start throwing a stone or two when someone intentionally steps on one of his big toes..

Other than that Ian is only really focused on aligning issues within a Biblical Context and framework. I think you will find that Ian is really only concerned with one issue with the CAI and that is their highly unsound non - Biblical standards and practices..

... and that is how it is..

(ps the heading is a bit misleading as "a word" can have prophetical implications.. )

Hi, Billy.

The fact is that I don't play 'favourites'; I don't play the 'blame-hound' game either. Someone wrongs you? Well, that's their fault. But should you use that past wrong as an excuse to justify your present bad behaviour, then that becomes your fault. In a nutshell I'm all for people accepting responsibility for their actions, and for being personally accountable for what they say and do. Sadly there are some in your camp; however, who don't seem to approve of this approach. Do you?

Blessings,

Ian
